What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa and Mastercard (Debit and Credit). We DO NOT accept Cash or American Express at any of our depots.

What is a Bond (Security Deposit)?

A Bond is a security deposit payable at the time of vehicle pickup to cover potential fines, damage, etc.

  • No Cash: Depots do not accept cash; a valid Visa or Mastercard must be used.
  • Refunds: The bond is released after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition. This generally takes up to 30 working days to process.

Note: The amount varies depending on your chosen liability reduction option.

License Requirements

For Australian & NZ Drivers

All Drivers must be at least 18 Years of Age. Red & Green P-Plates are fine, however additional fees apply.

For International Drivers

All Drivers must be at least 18 Years of Age. It is a legal requirement in New Zealand that anyone using an international licence/translation must also be carrying their original licence.

Some customers may require a translated version of their International Drivers License.

Vehicle Features

What is included in the campervan?

Our campers generally include the essentials to be self-sufficient on your roadtrip:

Gas Stove Ice Cooler (Esky) Pots & Pans Cutlery Mattress CD/Radio
Linen is NOT included. You must bring your own sheets, pillows, and blankets.

Are the vans Automatic or Manual?

It depends on the location and vehicle category:

Our fleet is a mix. You must request an Automatic vehicle at the time of booking (availability limited and fees may apply).

Do you hire Baby Seats?

Generally No. Most standard Wicked Campervans do not have anchor points for child seats.

Exceptions apply to specific models (like the Mini Camper 3 or certain 4WDs in Australia). Please check the vehicle specifications carefully before booking.

On The Road

Do you provide Roadside Assistance?

Yes. Roadside Assistance is available for mechanical issues.

However, a call-out fee applies for human error (e.g., keys locked in the car, flat battery due to lights left on, tyre changes, or running out of fuel).

Is mileage/kilometers unlimited?

USA & Canada: NO. Daily hire includes 100 Miles (160km). Excess is charged at approx $0.25 per mile/km.

Australia & NZ: YES Unlimited Kilometres are available!

Note: This allowance is subject to the terms of use. If you travel outside the Permitted Area of Use or commit a contract breach, the allowance reverts to a Limited 250km/day.

Can I drive on unsealed (dirt) roads?

2WD Vehicles: Strictly PROHIBITED on unsealed, dirt, or gravel roads (except short access roads to recognized campgrounds).

4WD Vehicles (AU): Permitted on unsealed roads, but Off-Road driving (beaches, fields) is prohibited.

Logistics & Maps

Do you offer Airport Pickup?

NO We do not provide airport transfers.

Most depots are accessible by public transport or taxi. You must make your own way to the depot.

Where am I prohibited to go? (Area Maps)

Restrictions Apply: Penalties apply for driving in prohibited areas. Driving on Beaches or Sand is prohibited globally.
